HARTSELLE, AL (WAFF) -

Hartselle Police say an 11-year-old gave birth to her rapist's baby.

Anthony Dewayne Manigo Jr. surrendered to Hartselle Police following a grand jury indictment.

Investigators say the 11-year-old victim reported the sexual encounter with Manigo. Manigo, then 18, was interviewed, but denied having sex with the girl.

The victim gave birth in 2012 and investigators say DNA tests prove Manigo is the father of the child.

Manigo was booked into the Morgan County Jail in $50,000.
