Several law enforcement agencies are once again combing the waters where a firefighter was last seen Wednesday.

The search for Jacob Lewis, 28, of Walker is ongoing on the Intracoastal Waterway near the Belle River Landing.

Lewis is a firefighter with the Baton Rouge Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter in Livingston Parish.

He disappeared around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

His wife said they were loading their boat back on the trailer when she noticed the boat adrift. She told authorities she then spotted her husband in the water struggling to stay afloat.
