Tet Nguyen Dan is Sunday, February 10. It's the Vietnamese New Year and each year those of Vietnamese descent celebrate the coming of the lunar year. The Vietnamese Martyrs Church in Biloxi will hold a two day event this weekend. There's going to be a raffle for a 2013 Honda accord, iPad, computer, gift cards, or a camera. Plus you can immerse yourself in all types of vibrant Vietnamese dishes like egg rolls, pho, fried rice, seafood, desserts and hot pot. Live entertainment includes a children's dance, dragon dance, Kung Fu performances and national/local Vietnamese singers. This event is free and open to the public.

Do you have an oyster recipe that's to die for? Try your recipe out at the Oyster Throw Down in Waveland and see where it stands. First, Second and Third place trophies will be given to the team that has the most creative oyster dishes. Quite a few teams have already signed up for the outdoor event, so if you're not into cooking oysters, you'll have plenty to try. In addition to the oysters, two different raffles offer a bit of excitement. One is for a liquor basket and the other is for a Valentine 's Day get-a-way. Their will be hamburgers and hot dogs. All proceeds benefit Hope Haven Children's Services.

There considered the biggest performers on four wheels. Twelve-foot-tall, 10,000 pound machines will be racing, and tearing up a custom designed track at the Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam. They'll drive over or smash through a myriad of obstacles. Some of the trucks on tap to perform include: Fatal Attraction, Ground Pounder and Grave Digger. Attendees will get an opportunity to take pictures and get autographs with the drivers.

Super Sunday Viewing Party
The biggest game deserves the biggest party and the Hard Rock Casino wants you to come to their Super Bowl party. They'll have a huge viewing screen in the Hard Rock Live. Food and drinks will be on sale including specialty drinks. The Jack Daniel's and Bud girls will be there giving away prizes throughout the game and at halftime. You must be at least 21 to attend. Admission is complimentary, but is first come first serve.

From happy hour during the game to drawings, the IP Casino is gearing up for their Big Game Party at the Chill. They'll offer pizza, hotdogs and sandwiches. You'll have numerous screens to view the Ravens verse the 49ers.During the game they'll hold drawings after every quarter.

There are several parades set for Saturday. So instead of focusing on each one here's a quick preview. The Timber Ridge Woman's Mardi Gras parade features golf cats, bicycles and ATVs. It starts at 2 p.m. in Pass Christian's Timber Ridge Subdivision. Mystic Krewe of Pine Island's theme is all about music. They roll at 1:30 p.m. in Vancleave. The Long Beach Night parade is at 6 p.m. starting at Long Beach High School. Moss Point Parade of classes starts at 1 p.m. down Main Street. Their grand marshal is Moss Point Fire Chief Clarence Parks. Gautier's Men's Club Mardi Gras parade starts at 7 p.m. at the Jackson County Campus. The Orange Grove Carnival association's parade is at 2 p.m. at Community and Kline Roads. The Krewe of Legacy roll at noon at the corner of Cable Bridge Road and Vidalia Road in West Harrison County.
