There was a gas line explosion early Tuesday morning, according to Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal. The gas fire is out, but trees in the area are still burning. More >>

Police in
Walker are looking for a truck they said was involved in a hit and run crash Thursday
morning.
The vehicle
is described as an older model charcoal gray Dodge pickup with a chrome grill,
pulling a small trailer.
Officers
said the hit and run happened on South Walker Road near McDonald's just before
8 a.m.
