HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
When San Francisco 49ers corner back and Long Beach native Tramaine Brock hits the field on Super Bowl Sunday, his family will be standing by.
The last time we spoke with Marsha Garner, Brock's mother, she had no doubts that her son was headed down the path to greatness.
"I'm very excited to be dressed in my gear and also supporting my son here. Tramine Brock, number 26. Corner Back coming for you," Garner said.
Looks like her son made good on the promise. In the world of football, it gets no greater than the Super Bowl. That's exactly where Brock will be on February 3rd, taking on the Baltimore Ravens in a match up that's sure to have everyone watching.
Brock's brother, Kenneth, said the excitement is contagious throughout his entire family
"My family is really there for him. He has a lot of support because they're really excited and always rooting. Whenever we can't make it to a game, we'll have a gathering at my aunt's or uncle's. It's the Super Bowl, so it's like, 'Wow! My little brother is in the Super Bowl!' I'm very excited for him. It's a blessing I would say," Kenneth said.
There's no question Brock's family will be in New Orleans for the game, but as they celebrate, they'll have all of Brock's supporters in mind.
"I just want to thank everybody that has been there for him, rooting for him and his team. Long Beach, Gulfport, the surrounding areas, thank you so much and keep rooting for him," Kenneth said.
