The Cary, N.C.-based legal technology and practice management consulting firm and its founder and managing partner, Thomas L. Rowe, Esq., will be recognized by the University of Georgia Alumni Association at a January 26 ceremony in Atlanta.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) January 19, 2013
OTB Consulting, a leading legal technology and practice management firm and the maker of BKexpress, a practice management software for consumer bankruptcy lawyers, has been chosen for the Bulldog 100, recognizing the fastest growing businesses that are owned or operated by University of Georgia alumni.
Thomas L. Rowe, Esq., the company’s founder and managing partner, will join the Bulldog 100’s Class of 2013 in a special celebration, including a reception and awards dinner, on January 26 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
Rowe, a fourth-generation attorney, received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1986. He has since emerged as a national leader in developing computer technology solutions for the legal industry and is a frequently invited speaker at legal technology symposiums.
“I developed the tools of critical problem solving and a solid foundation in the law while a law student at the University of Georgia,” Rowe said. “For that reason, it’s particularly gratifying for OTB Consulting to be recognized as a successful, fast-growing business by the UGA Alumni Association. We’ve worked hard to pioneer technology products like BKexpress to help bankruptcy law firms manage practices more efficiently and profitably.”
To be selected as a Bulldog 100 honoree, a company must meet a number of eligibility criteria. The company must have verifiable annual revenues of $100,000 or more as of calendar year 2009. The company must have been in business at least five years. And the company’s founder, president or managing partner must be a former University of Georgia student and own at least 50 percent of the business.
Rowe and partner Robert S. McNeill formed OTB Consulting in 2007 by merging their respective legal technology consulting companies, Practice Management Partners and The McNeill Group.
The company, which is headquartered in Cary, N.C., provides legal technology and practice management consulting services to law firms nationally and internationally.
OTB Consulting’s innovative products and services include Practice Area Templates for a range of legal practice areas, including general litigation, personal injury, insurance defense and workers' compensation. The templates are used by hundreds of law firms in the United States.
Among OTB’s premier products is BKexpress, the first practice management system for consumer bankruptcy law firms. Rowe served as the chief architect of BKexpress. Today, he is considered one of the country’s leading authorities on the efficient and profitable practice of consumer bankruptcy law.
