HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

An early morning accident on Kiln-Delisle Road in Hancock County claimed the life of Evan Forsythe on Tuesday, according to Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk.

Faulk said Forsythe was the driver of the car and two others were also in the car. The passengers were injured and transported to Memorial Hospital.

Faulk said the incident occurred after the car hydroplaned and hit a power pole. Hancock County Sheriff Rick Adam said the accident happened near a curve on the road. The vehicle also snapped a power pole which knocked out power to hundreds of residents in the area.

A Coast Electric spokesperson said power has been restored now, but around 2 a.m. They had about 230 customers in the dark.
