GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -
The man injured in a fire at an alleged marijuana grow house early Monday morning in Gulfport is now out of the hospital and behind bars.
Firefighters were called to a home on Tandy Drive, off Dedeaux Road, just after midnight to help a man suffering from severe lacerations. Investigators said the man had to break through a wall to get out of the burning home.
Adrian Santiesteban Gonzalez of Miami was released from the hospital Tuesday and taken into custody by Gulfport Police. He's charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Gonzalez is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
Another man, Roger Tejas-Silva, 41, was also at the scene trying to extinguish the fire. He was arrested Monday and faces the same charges as Gonzalez. Tejas-Silva is also being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.
