All the preliminary events here at Miss America are over now, all that remains is Saturday night's telecast, which can be seen on WLOX/ABC.
Miss Mississippi Marie Wick's family says she feels good and is looking forward to Saturday night. Although Marie did not win any of the preliminary events, she truly made her home state of Mississippi proud.
The Mississippi contingent out here grows every day. Friday afternoon, Marie's uncle, Jules, and his beautiful daughter, Olivia, arrive. Marie's kindergarten teacher is even here.
This is the 92nd year for the Miss America Pageant, and we 'Mississippi folks' out here would love to hear Marie's name called as the next Miss America. She is a young lady who truly embodies what this scholarship pageant is all about. Good luck Marie, we love you!
