Socks, the dog reportedly burned this week by his owner, has died. That word comes from a George County Sheriff's deputy. Socks succumbed to injuries suffered after 20-year-old Brandon Pierce allegedly set his dog on fire Tuesday night. Two fugitive brothers wanted out of Tennessee were captured around 6:30 Thursday morning according to Pearl River Sheriff's Department. According to Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison, Jessy and Jeffrey Marchbanks were caught at the corner of Ozona Richardson Road and Richardson Road just after sunrise. That's the same general area authorities had searched Wednesday and early Thursday morning.More >>

Waveland native and America's Got Talent fifth season winner Michael Grimm will perform at the Hard Rock Friday starting at 8 p.m. He's known for his earthy-soul music. The South Mississippian has been performing since he was just 12-years-old and continues to incorporate his southern charm in all his performances.

It's fast-paced exciting and involves a lot of ice skating action. The Surge hockey team has two home games this weekend. They're hosting the Knoxville Ice Bears in a two game set. So far the Surge has an 11-11-2 record for this season. If they win the two games they'll be 13-11-2, which will move them past Knoxville in the SPHL standings. There's a post game meet and greet with the players at Mugshots after the game at around 10 p.m. They'll sign autographs and pictures. There's also an opportunity for autographs and pictures shortly after the game.
