Truck flips several times with Jackson man and dog inside

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Jackson man and his dog are a little shaken up after the man's truck flipped several times with them inside.

The accident happened at Kiln-DeLisle Road in Hancock County Thursday afternoon. The man was driving a Toyota Tundra around a curve when he hit a mail box and over corrected a turn. That turn caused the truck to flip numerous times.

Both the dog and the man were sitting on the front seat, but once the truck stopped flipping they were in the back of the truck.

The dog reportedly landed on the man's lap.

Two sheriff's investigators were driving down the road and spotted the accident. They were able to bust the windows open to get them out.

The man and the dog suffered minor physical injuries.
