JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
When Jackson County Sheriff's deputy Shane Bozeman began approaching an attempted burglary suspect, the man started answering nature's call on a business next to the one he allegedly tried breaking into.
Edwin Allen Chambers III reportedly tried breaking into Antique Barn in Wade on Sunday, according to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd. Byrd said Chamber admitted to attempting to break into the building and busting the windows at The First Church of God at the intersection of Toby Parker Road on Highway 63.
Chambers was arrested and charged with attempted felony commercial burglary offense, misdemeanor for indecent exposure and malicious mischief. He made his initial appearance before Judge T. Larry Wilson, who set his bail at $1,000 for the attempted commercial burglary.
If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The misdemeanor charges for indecent exposure and malicious mischief will be processed through Jackson County Justice Court.
