New Year's Eve bashes are not for the faint at heart. Several local hot spots are creating parties to kick off 2013 in style.
Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis will have live music all night long. Ringing in the New Year at the Stage Bar is The Meanies starting at 9 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. Also playing is the original Royal Players Brass band performing on the casino floor starting at 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. But the music doesn't stop there; you'll also get to check out Davis and Sax playing in the hotel lobby bar from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. At midnight enjoy a champagne toast.

The IP Casino has a New Year's Eve bash that will have you moving your feet straight into 2013. A five piece cover band called Chee-Weez is going to help you do that. They specialize in bringing you an off the cuff show, with lights and pyro. With face painting, cool costumes and songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's, you'll be more than pleased with this group. The show includes a complimentary bar, snacks, champagne toast and party favors. You must be 21 years or older to attend.

Another cool place to consider this New Year's Eve is Treasure Bay Casino's Blu Lounge on the 9th floor. It's literally all blue and the lounge is bringing in the band Wiretap Method. The band blends the soul of Van Morrison, the beauty of Wilco and the edge of the Rolling Stones. Their genre is Rock and Americana.

Hard Rock has created a theme for their New Year's Eve celebration with the Wonderland forest in mind. Nocturne will be performing with DVDJ Hurricane Lloyd beginning at 9 p.m. at Hard Rock Live. It's a whole new year after all, so why not take part in a second party at the Ledge. Hang out with the Queen of Revel. She'll be there with DJ Hyphee at 9 p.m. Admission to both parties is $40. As of early Thursday morning there were at least 152 confirmed guests on their Facebook page, so you know it's going to be a wild good time.

Put your glasses up to Bobby Cure and the Summertime Blues, they're performing at Sliver Slipper Casino on New Year's Eve. The festivities include party favors, champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. The party starts at 10 p.m.

Treat yourself to several New Year's Eve experiences at the Beau Rivage. They've got the 80s tribute band The Molly Ringwalds performing in the theatre.
