Pair arrested on vehicle burglary charges on Christmas Day

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) -

Two 19-year-olds suspected of breaking into cars last week were locked up on Christmas Day.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Matthew Hood and Kendye Everhart, both of Holden, were arrested on vehicle burglary charges.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards said the pair is accused in several car break-ins in the Belle Foret subdivision in Hammond the week of Dec. 21.

TPSO was contacted after the two were found and taken into custody in Livingston Parish.

Hood and Everhart were then sent to Tangipahoa Parish for booking.

They were still in jail Wednesday morning.
