STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Christmas day storm blew through the northwest corner of Stone County.  As it did, it tore apart homes, and sent trucks spinning.

Stone County EMA Director Raven James is still assessing the damage.  So far, he can confirm two trailers on Will Lee Road were destroyed.

Teresa Mason lives on Will Lee.  She was watching WLOX Christmas Day when she heard about a tornado warning.  Just then, she said, "We heard a loud train."

Mason said she dashed out of her mobile home and into a truck.  But, she got caught by the wicked weather.  "It started spinning us," she explained.

When the truck stopped spinning, Mason looked around and saw devastation.  "It's just horrible," she said.  Mason said ever home on Will Lee Road was wiped out.  That road is off Highway 26, in the northwest corner of Stone County.

Pictures sent by Mason showed an uprooted tree, and a brick home severely damaged by the storm.
