The organization Caring and Sharing lived up to its name Tuesday, serving Christmas lunch to the needy at the Stone County Fairgrounds. Last year, 450 people were served. The organization also prepared and delivered carry out meals to those who couldn't make it.
Serving began at 11:00 am and ends when all stomachs have been fed.
Similar programs are feeding families in other counties today. For instance, Feed the Needy will deliver food and fellowship to more than 2,000 Harrison County people who can't afford a holiday meal this Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Feed My Sheep served 800 holiday meals to homeless and less fortunate members of the community. An additional 400 meals were delivered to people who couldn't get out.
