Gulfport shooting sends 2 to the hospital

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Gulfport police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital Christmas Eve.

Officers were called to 3920 Monterey Drive around 7:30 Monday night for reports of a disturbance. Authorities say when they arrived, they learned a shotgun had been fired. Two people had been hit; one was on the scene and the other drove himself to the hospital.

Police do not believe the wounds were life threatening.

No one was immediately arrested, and the incident remains under investigation.
