This week WLOX joins hundreds of other television stations across the country reminding viewers not to drink and drive. We will be airing a number of reminders in the next few days about this serious problem. The campaign is called Project Road Block.

The theme of the campaign is "local TV puts the brakes on drunk driving." While the message is geared toward the younger generation, it's something that we all need to be reminded about.

Remember, buzzed driving is drunk driving. If you do plan to celebrate the New Year make sure you have a designated driver. We want everyone to have a happy and safe New Year.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com, or post your comments below.
