    Some Jackson County supervisors don't want to see people carrying guns in parks and other public areas despite a new gun law in the state. As WLOX has reported, starting July 1st Mississippians will be able to openly carry a gun and other weapons with or without a permit.   Some Jackson county leaders want to create a local ordinance to keep weapons in check.
OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County Sheriff's Department arrested 30-year-old Sheena Myles-Adams for embezzlement Monday. 

Sheriff Mike Byrd said the Biloxi woman is accused of stealing $6,101 from her employer, Elite Coastal. 

Byrd said Adams worked as an accountant assistant at Elite Coastal since July 2012. 

After her arrest she was transported to Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending an initial appearance in Jackson County Court. 

If convicted she faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
