Now that the rain has moved through South Mississippi, colder temperatures are coming right behind it. So the Salvation Army is opening a cold weather shelter for three days this week for those needing to seek refuge from the elements.
The Salvation Army Building on 2019 22nd Street in Gulfport will open as a shelter Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4pm to 8am each day. Coast Transit Authority will provide transportation to those in need to travel to the shelter beginning at noon on Tuesday, December 11.
