Weekend whereabouts 7-9

Happy Friday. The holiday season in South Mississippi is in full swing. "Magical" is just about the only way to describe the ambience.

Diamondhead boat parade

Here in South Mississippi we don't have snow, but we do have plenty of water allowing for Christmas boat parades. There's one this Saturday in Diamondhead. You'll see a variety of boats decorated with holiday decor, an air show, Santa and much more. This event is free and takes place south of I-10 behind Hula's Restaurant starting at 4 p.m.

Since this past July church members have been working to put together the powerful reenactment that's free and lasts about one hour outdoors on the church grounds. Refreshments will be served after the cantata.
