BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A third arrest has been made in a shooting that left one man dead on November 6, 2012 in the 3100 block of Wyandotte Street.

According to police, detectives discovered that multiple suspects forced their way into the victim's home before shooting him.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. Two men were shot and were taken to the hospital. One of the victims, 34-year-old Derrick Marioneaux, died and the other had moderate injuries, according to Baton Rouge police. The man with moderate injuries was suspected to be one of the men trying to shoot Marioneaux.

Baton Rouge Police say the man injured, now identified as 21-year-old Juan Hebert, was accidentally shot by one of the other shooters. When he was released from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

A second shooter, a 14-year-old boy, was also arrested for the shooting death of Marioneaux. Both Hebert and the 14-year-old were arrested November 27, 2012.

The third shooter, 20-year-old Benjamin Bailey, was arrested December 6, 2012. He was booked into Orleans Parish Jail as a fugitive from BRPD. He was brought back to Baton Rouge and will be booked on a first degree murder charge.
