BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -
Nearly 30 brightly lighted boats sailed the shoreline of the Biloxi peninsula for the city's 27th annual Christmas on the Water boat parade.
Commercial and pleasure boats participated in the holiday tradition.
Shrimp boat captains decorated their vessels with inflatable Santa Claus figures. Some private boats donned fleur de lis and Christmas trees.
Families lined the beach and along the small craft harbor to watch the boat parade. Some people built bonfires on Deer Island to enjoy the festivities.
The evening was capped off with a fireworks display.
