BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A 31-year-old
man has died after being shot Thursday evening while sitting in a car in the
parking lot of a grocery store.
The Baton
Rouge Police Department said Eugene George died from his wounds early Friday
morning.
The
shooting happened in the parking lot of Neighbors Food Mart on Dougherty Drive
around 7:15 p.m.
A
31-year-old woman was also hit.
Her injuries
were minor.
The suspect
was last seen running away from the scene wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and
khaki pants.
