Sheriff's Deputies searching for bank robber

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is looking for a man that robbed the Chase Bank at 7171 Corporate Boulevard Thursday around 3 p.m..

According to reports, a white male entered the bank through the front door wearing a dark colored jacket and dark jeans. He was also wearing a stocking type hat and sunglasses.

Deputies say the man handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was observed.

The man ran out of the bank out the front doors toward the rear of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 389-5000 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 344-STOP.

That scheduling quirk may give field turf crews just enough time to get War Memorial Stadium ready for the September 8 home opener. The wet weather in South Mississippi is placing quite the burden on construction workers as they attempt to complete stadium renovations. The project was suppose to be finished before the beginning of Pascagoula's football season.
