BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Biloxi man will spend the next 37 years in prison after admitting to sex acts with a 3-year-old girl.  Johnathan Robert Necaise, 29, was sentenced Tuesday night for his crimes of Sexual Battery and Exploitation of a Child.

According to District Attorney Joel Smith, Necaise was arrested August 19, 2011 after a 3-year-old girl disclosed that he made her perform sex acts on him.

"The little girl described a game that she and Necaise played and how she was told by Necaise not to tell anyone about the game," said Assistant District Attorney George Huffman.

Following his arrest, Necaise admitted to an investigator with the Biloxi Police Department that the girl performed oral sex on him between two and five times. As a result of this information, a search warrant was obtained and more than 300 items of child pornography, involving very young children, were discovered on Necaise's computer.

Necaise was set to go to trial October 16, but instead entered guilty plea to the crimes as a jury sat in an adjacent room waiting to hear his case. The case was then reset by the judge until Tuesday's sentencing hearing.

"Judge Clark described the defendant's crimes as 'reprehensible' prior to imposing sentence," said Huffman.

He then sentenced the Necaise to 30 years for Sexual Battery and seven years for Exploitation of a Child. The sentences were ordered to run consecutively for a total of 37 years to serve.

"To protect the future of our society, we have to be vigilant in the protection of our young people. Crimes such as this are a complete betrayal of the trust between a child and an adult" said DA Smith.

Based upon the nature of the charges, Mississippi law requires the sentences be served day for day without the hope of early release or parole. Upon his release, the defendant will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
