Former Hancock Bank employee admits stealing $80k+

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Pass Christian woman faces 30 years in prison and a million dollar fine after pleading guilty this week to one count of federal bank fraud. 

Ashley Keel, 29, admitted stealing $80,980 while employed as a vault teller for Hancock Bank at the Cedar Lake Branch in Biloxi. She will be sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. on March 27, 2013.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst.
