GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

John Nix, a former Dallas Cowboy football player, was arrested at his home in George County November 16 for felony drug possession. The arrest came after several traffic stops produced intel leading officers to seek and serve a search warrant on Nix's home on Highway 198 East.

Nix was arrested around 1am after officers searched and cleared the residence. Officers said they discovered approximately 37 grams of marijuana in a plastic drawer near a bedside. Two additional, smaller bags of marijuana were found, along with several hundred dollars. The drugs and the cash were both seized.

Nix was charged with felony possession of marijuana and taken to George County Regional Jail. He has since posted bond.
