
Source: LA Football MagazineWoodlawn's Don Jones tells WAFB he has resigned his post as the school's head football coach and Athletic Director.
The Panthers just completed an 1-9 season as one of the smallest schools in Class 5A football, but had claimed back-to-back district titles when they were a 4A school in 2009-2010.
Jones has a career mark of 232-151-3 and coached Brian Mitchell at Plaquemine and UL-Lafayette. Mitchell went on to a 13-year NFL career amassing 23,300 all-purpose yards.
Jones says he plans to stay at Woodlawn as a teacher for the remainder of the school year.
