LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Parents with kids probably have experienced the occasional spill when their youngsters try to pour themselves a glass of juice or milk over their cereal. Now there's a product on the market called the Magic Tap that's suppose to wipe out those spills. So I'm going to try it before you buy it.

The Magic Tap comes in one simple unit. All you need to do before use is clean, and add two AA batteries. Once the batteries are installed, it's suppose to fit on half gallon containers up to a gallon and most juice bottles of that size. Installation is pretty simple too. Insert the tube and pump mechanism into the drink container and pull the soft rubber cap down over the mouth of the jug, make sure it's snug, and you're ready to go.

I tested the product on a gallon jug of lemonade and it worked really well. I was even impressed that the Magic Tap didn't drip once I was finished dispensing the lemonade.

One thing to keep in mind is the Magic Tap must be cleaned first with warm soapy water and a small amount of white vinegar if you plan on using it to dispense dairy products. It also is not recommended to be used with carbonated beverages and for you adults, it's not recommended for use with alcoholic beverages with alcohol contents above 40%.

After all the testing, it's my opinion that the Magic Tap works very well. We found our product for testing at Walgreens in the As Seen on TV aisle for only $10. They're offered online for $20, but you get two as a bonus.
