BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -
A figure in the Sherry murder conspiracy case is now out of prison. According to the bureau of prisons website, Glenn Joseph Cook Senior was released Friday.
Cook, now 71, is a former Biloxi police officer. He was accused of plotting the 1987 murders of Judge Vincent Sherry and his wife, Margaret.
Cook was released back in 2008 and ordered to stay out of Mississippi. Two days later, Cook was arrested in Jackson County on a domestic violence charge and immediately returned to federal custody.
Cook was released from the medium security prison in Beaumont, Texas and must report to a halfway house in the New Orleans area where he will stay for six months.
