Bay St. Louis shooting suspect turns himself in

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -

The man accused of a shooting Monday at a Bay St. Louis subdivision is behind bars after turning himself into authorities Wednesday.

Kent Leon Williams of Bay St. Louis was wanted by the Bay St Louis Police Department after allegedly shooting someone in the upper body then fleeing the scene.

According to Bay St. Louis investigators, Williams was in the Bay Pines Subdivision around 10:00 Monday night. Witnesses told investigators some sort of altercation broke out inside a home on Andrew Lizana Street.

Bay St. Louis Police Chief Mike DeNardo said, Williams was arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a firearm.

His bond was set at $150,000.

The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
