Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...why so early?

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Thanksgiving may not be here yet. But, in some places around town, it's already beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

More than 700 Christmas trees are displayed on Cedar Lake Road in Biloxi, at Robert Anderson Christmas Trees. They opened a day earlier than planned.

Vice President George Mitchell said so many people pre-ordered trees this year, they decided to go ahead and open shop.

They have trees of all sizes, from North Carolina.

They can even flock the trees. That means, they spray them with decorative artificial snow that allows them to stay alive longer.

Mitchell said this is their 18th year in business and based on this year's early opening, they have high hopes for this year's sales.

"A good season, a little bit better than last year. Last year was, you know. Last year was so-so. But, it was slower than we expected," said Mitchell.

This is the hub location for Robert Anderson Trees' four other locations.

Altogether, they have 3,000 trees.

Their other locations include: Highway 609, Ocean Springs, Biloxi (Eisenhower Rd.), and Long Beach/Pineville.
