18-wheeler crash causes traffic delays on I-10 East

PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -

The Louisiana State Police sent a warning to drivers to expect delays on I-10 East approaching Baton Rouge early Friday morning, but the roadway has since been cleared.

Troopers reported a crash involving an 18-wheeler on I-10 East about two miles before the exit to Port Allen caused traffic problems.

All lanes were reopened around 6:30 a.m.

Authorities have not said whether there were any injuries in the accident.

No further details were released.

    Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive on the Coast tomorrow to examine wreckage from that Cessna 172 that crashed this morning just north of the Diamondhead Airport.
