Prescribed burn also helping save endangered MS frog

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

The U.S. Forest Service is burning 400 acres Thursday in Harrison County near Tradition. It is the first prescribed burn of the season.

This burn is somewhat unique because it also involves the habitat of the endangered Mississippi gopher frog.

Steve Phillips is there and talking to officials about what's involved and how it will help save the endangered frog.
