PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Friday morning, Judge Dale Harkey was expected to hear a report from the Jackson County Grand Jury on the shooting at the Drug Task Force office earlier this year. But that didn't happen.

You may remember the shooting, which slightly injured an officer, came to light months later and sparked a fallout virtually dismantling the county-wide drug fighting agency.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation looked into the task force incident, and the MBI report was presented to the grand jury. Proceedings of a grand jury are secret until its report is presented to the court.

Friday, the grand jury foreman was in Judge Harkey's courtroom, expecting to read the report into the official public record. However, after a conference in the judge's chambers, the Judge Harkey announced the report would not be read Friday and did not say when it will.
