GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Two new, interactive exhibits now open at The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport feature the Gulf of Mexico.

One exhibit is funded by the EPA, and includes a 32 -touch screen monitor. It also has a large wall mural, and an 80-inch touch screen which represents the Gulf.

The second exhibit is funded by NOAA and features an interactive "Eco-Hero" game.

"We are trying to help the public, children in particular, but the general public to better understand the Gulf of Mexico, so that we can all be better stewards," Dr. Sharon Walker said.

The exhibits in Gulfport opened Monday. Several similar exhibits are set to open in other Gulf states.
