Biloxi man killed after head on collision with garbage truck

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Biloxi man is dead after a head on collision with a garbage truck. The accident happened around 4:30 Saturday morning on Popp's Ferry Road near Campbell street in Biloxi.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said 21-year-old Nicholas Kostmayer was headed east when his Toyota Scion veered into the westbound lane and hit a garbage truck head on.

Hargrove said Kostmayer was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the garbage truck was injured. Officials said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
