Runners race in costumes for "Gobble Wobble" trot

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

The third annual "Gobble Wobble and Turkey Trot" kicked off Saturday morning.

Runners and walkers came in costumes of all kinds to trek 1.7 miles over the Biloxi- Ocean Springs bridge, and back.

This pre-thanksgiving run not only provided fun competition, but it was also for a good cause.

North-Bay Civitan Club puts on this run every year. All proceeds go to help the local soup kitchen, "The Lord is my Help."

Club President Keith Wilson said every year the race grows, but he still hoped more people in the community would participate this year.

The entry fee for the race was 5 non perishable food items or $5.
