FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - As the holiday season approaches, law enforcement divisions in two Pee Dee counties plan to conduct checkpoints throughout the month.

According to Captain Michael M. Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff's Office, the 12th Judicial Circuit Law Enforcement Network, which includes agencies in both Florence and Marion Counties, will conduct traffic safety checkpoints in November.

The focus of the traffic safety checkpoints is the prevention of motor vehicle accidents and the detection and enforcement of traffic or vehicle operating violations.

Capt. Nunn did not specify precise areas or dates throughout the month where the checkpoints will occur, but did note the checkpoints will be spread throughout the two counties.
