BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

On Monday deputies arrested a bond company employee accused of stealing $18,000 from his employer.

According to Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara, 57-year-old James Thomas Reyer of Biloxi is charged with felony charges of embezzlement.

Brisolara said, the owner of Thornton Bonding Company claimed while Reyer was an employee he never turned in or deposited $18,000 in bond money he collected from individuals.

Investigators were able to gather enough evidence to make an arrest.

Reyer is being held at the Harrison County Sheriff's Department under a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
