Fashion show aims to raise breast cancer awareness

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women in the U.S. are said to develop breast cancer.  Edgewater Mall hosted a fashion show, hoping to bring awareness to that issue.

Breast cancer survivors took the stage to strut their stuff and bring understanding.

They showed off their outfits and celebrated the positive spirit of breast cancer survivors.

The catwalk featured 20 inspirational women survivors and their families, encouraging all women to get regular check ups and mammograms.

"Remember, we are brave; we are beautiful; we are brilliant, and we are so blessed. And, I will continue to fight for a cure for breast cancer," said breast cancer survivor Karen Sock.
