TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Emergency crews responded to an overturned FedEx truck in Smith County.

The call came in to emergency dispatch around 9 a.m. Friday, just south of the entrance to Tyler State Park on Farm to Market Road 14.

Officials say the driver was headed northbound  on FM 14, when the vehicle lost control, overturned and left the roadway, knocking-out two mailboxes before coming to a rest on its side.

The driver was able to crawl out from the overturned van himself, and authorities say he was not injured.

DPS says slick roads may have been a factor, but did not indicate speed as a contributor.

The vehicle was towed from the scene around 10:30.

A FedEx spokesperson says the driver was wrapping up an early morning route, and the incident will not delay any delivery service in the area.

No citations have been issued.
