HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A man suspected of murder in Louisiana was arrested Tuesday morning in Harrison County, just hours after the crime occurred.
According to Sheriff Melvin Brisolara, his office received a call shortly before 6am from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office asking for assistance locating a murder suspect. The crime had just happened Tuesday morning, and investigators believed their wanted man was driving through Mississippi.
Deputies were given the name of the suspect and a description of the vehicle, along with a possible location near Menge Avenue and I-10. Deputies found a vehicle matching that description parked at the Texaco station near Menge Ave. and arrested Billie Glend Rawson, Jr. without incident.
Rawson was being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. No bond was set, pending an extradition hearing.
