Toilet Papering: Homecoming fun or malicious mischief?

It's WLOX News Director Brad Kessie. Did you see the circus elephants temporarily stranded on I-10 this morning?  If you missed those pictures, then click here.  We have a slideshow from the accident scene.  Believe me, this is one series of picture you want to check out.

We're gathering information about a bus wreck in Stone County.  Apparently, two school buses collided on Highway 49.  And rescue personnel were dispatched to the wreck. A picture from a WLOX viewer shows the front of one bus pretty banged up. And in the distance, you can see people gathered around an ambulance.  We were just told seven children got sent to the hospital. We'll have the latest news from the school bus wreck on WLOX News and on

We're also learning more about an alleged kidnapping attempt in Gulfport.  Steve Phillips talked with police about the suspect, and how the victim got away.

And Gulfport Councilman Ricky Dombrowski says it's time for a homecoming tradition to end because it's gotten way out of hand. He's tired of seeing toilet paper littering trees, and gooey substances dumped on cars and homes. Councilman Dombrowski wants police to start arresting high school students who participate in this malicious behavior.

You'll hear from him, from angry parents, and from Gulfport's schools superintendent on WLOX News at 6:00.

Have a great night.
