New officers cracking down on speeders in Diamondhead

It's WLOX News Director Brad Kessie. We're following news from New Orleans about bounty gate.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has handed down new discipline to Jonathan Vilma, Will Smith, Scott Fujita and Anthony Hargrove. The suspension of free agent defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove was reduced from eight to seven games, while Cleveland linebacker Scott Fujita is now docked one game, down from three.

Diamondhead's police force has this warning for people driving through South Mississippi's newest city.  Obey the rules of the road.  The city's police force is eight days old.  And we're told, officers have already written more than six dozen tickets.

In Jackson County, details have finally been ironed out to build a new, more secure jail.  Patrice Clark investigates on WLOX News at 6:00.
