STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
Stone County Emergency Management Director Raven James said the roof to a McHenry brick home was completely ripped off following severe weather Sunday evening.
James said the home appeared to be newer and is located at 83 Pine Avenue.
"The people inside hid in a closet. No one was injured," James said.
He said other homes in Stone County experienced minor damage. The Wiggins, McHenry Fire Departments and Stone County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
The American Red Cross also responded.

South Mississippi Chapter Stone County Disaster Action Team Members Herby and Judy Bechtel responded to a home destroyed by a tornado in McHenry this evening. The family of four is safe and being provided with lodging, food and referrals.
Officials said a barn received damage in Harrison County and two homes were damaged in Hancock County.
