SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -
The storms moving through our area have been causing problems all weekend and on Sunday, some counties in South Mississippi are under tornado warnings and watches.
The American Red Cross South Mississippi Chapter's Disaster Action Team responded in Perkinston after two homes were damaged.
Hancock and Harrison counties are under a tornado watch until 2 a.m. Tornado warnings are in effect in George, Greene and Perry counties. The tornado warnings/watches are subject to change throughout the evening.
Stone County Emergency Management Director Raven James said a home in McHenry lost a roof; however, he said there has been no confirmation on tornadoes touching down in Stone County.
According to Harrison County Emergency Management Director Rupert Lacy, some trees received damage; but, there have been no confirmed reports of tornadoes touching down. Lacy said there were reports of rotation in the clouds.
