JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Federal prosecutors have filed a motion to continue the October sentencing of three men convicted of hate-crime charges in the death of a black man who was run over by a white man in Mississippi.

The motion was filed under seal Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Jackson. Prosecutors asked for the motion to be sealed because it contains information about the defendants' cooperation in the investigation of James Craig Anderson's death. Anderson, a 47-year-old black man, was run over in Jackson on June 26, 2011.

The Associated Press reported earlier this month that a grand jury had met recently about the case.

Deryl Dedmon, Dylan Butler and John Aaron Rice await sentencing on the federal charges. Prosecutors say at least four others were present the night Anderson died.
