LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) -
Long Beach head football coach Tommy Browder was relieved of his duties as coach Monday afternoon, however, he is still a teacher at the Long Beach School District, according to Long Beach School District Superintendent Carrolyn Hamilton.
Hamilton declined to comment on why he is no longer the head football coach. She said it is a personnel matter and wouldn't comment further.
Hamilton said their interim head football coach will be Bo VonderBrugge, who is currently a teacher, head boys soccer coach and has coached football in the past.
VonderBrugge will be working with the assistant football coaches until the end of the high school football season.
Once the season is over, Long Beach School District will seek a new head coach for next year.
